Introduction

Feb18 is an artlang, although it looks a bit like an engelang. The morphology is technically triconsonantal. Person marking is either knower-learner or based on relative status. Nouns take mandatory prefixes acting as cases, conjunctions, and copulas as well as possessor or number suffixes. Verb inflections include tense, aspect, person of one argument and status of another, and mandatory voice. Phrases are noun-initial and clauses are verb-initial. A Latin-based orthography is used.

Person Terminology

• The Knower K refers to the speaker and associates in declarations and to the addressee and associates in questions.
• The Learner L refers to the speaker and associates in questions and to the addressee and associates in declarations.
• The Inclusive person M is the union of knower and learner.
• Each of the above is termed local.
• The 3rd person 3 is used for all others.
• The Higher person Hi refers to the higher status entity.
• The Lower person Lo refers to the lower status entity.
