The native writing system uses an alphabet of 9 letters representing the phonemes of the protolanguage plus 2 punctuation symbols. The punctuation symbols are a word separator and a sentence terminator.
There are both carved and handwritten versions, the latter derived from the former.
The alphabet is mapped onto the ASCII letters P T K N H R J W E.
