Phrase Structure

A phrase consists of at minimum a nominal format word, which may be preceded by a determiner function word and any number of attributive or appositive format words. The same attributive format words modify both animate and inanimate nouns.

An argument phrase corresponds to a 3rd person head inflection (3) if animate and to an unspecified one (U) if inanimate.
